Have you ever asked yourself whether the healthcare system is failing women? Hello and welcome back to Narratives of Purpose. Today I am announcing a special series in collaboration with Artefact Open Innovation Switzerland where we will talk about advancing women's health with female founders.
Podcast Guest 1 [00:00:23]
The second was raising awareness about the issue that we have in clinical trials. Um, because we don't have a lot of great data when we don't invite women to studies. Not inviting women to studies means they don't have access to some of these therapies. I mean, again, therapies can save you from losing organs, especially with cancer.

This new series will be released on Friday, 8th of March.Yes, that will be on International Women's Day. And this year's theme is Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress. So what better than to introduce you to some impactful startups led by women to mark this day.
Podcast Guest 2 [00:00:56]
Yeah, I think we have to bring awareness for women's health to investors, mainly, to pharmaceutical companies, for example, and to say that we have to invest in it. And that personalised medicine, for example, just bring one, one parameter, which is gender, it's super important because it changes everything in medicine.

There's always, no matter the size of the company, even when it's coming from C-level, there's a fear of backlash. And when they see that, there are 200 people who register for a masterclass on fertility in their company. They're like "wow". And they realise "I had no idea".
Claire [00:01:58]
Join me on March 8th to find out about these incredible women, why they decided . to become founders and patient advocates to improve the healthcare system for everyone.
Podcast Guest 4 [00:02:10]
The majority of cervical cancer deaths, uh, 90 percent of them occur in the developing world. For so many women, particularly in Asia and in Sub Saharan Africa, there's just no access to treatment. And so very often if women do have access to treatment, they're getting over treated. And that's not fair.
Podcast Guest 5 [00:02:27]
Five years ago, PCOS was not that well known. Like endometriosis, like fibroids, you know, and we work together with other organisations and, um, uh, suffering in silence is no longer going to be the case. We're too fed up to suffer in silence.
